Over the past two years, StepStones has identified that safe and stable housing is the essential foundation for long-term success for the youth we serve.

That’s why StepStones’ Home for the Holidays initiative is raising funds to help house youth this holiday season!

When you make a gift to a friend or family member, you can choose to send them a Home for the Holidays e-card so they are alerted that you made a contribution in their honour.

If you prefer, you can also make a gift of securities with our Share Your Shares program too!

Examples of Impact Your Gift Can Have

  • $50: Can help make a house and home by providing essential household items like bedding, cookware, or a stocked fridge.
  • $150: Can get a youth much needed assistance on moving day into their new apartment like providing a rental truck and having StepStones staff to help support.
  • $350: Can provide a youth with a rental subsidy for 1 month so they can afford to stay in their home while they receive assistance in re-enrolling in school and applying for jobs.
  • $1,000: Can enable the StepStones team to undertake the intensive process of research, applications, and advocacy needed to find safe and secure housing for a young person.
