Tara Evans Boodram

Youth in Transition and Mentor Coordinator

Tara is a passionate and dedicated advocate for youth and she joined the StepStones Team after working for nearly four years with youth at risk in conflict with the law in Toronto, Peel and Halton. She completed her Honours B.A. in Criminology and Women’s Studies and her Master’s Degree in Criminology at the University of Toronto. Tara is committed to challenging social injustice and was an Instructor at Ryerson University’s Chang School where she challenged students’ perceptions of Racism in Canada and provided students with the tools to challenge their own personal biases.
Tara has been married for 12 years and has two sons ages 9 and 5. She enjoys reading, writing, singing, camping, and spending time with her family and friends. She is a self-identified “life-long learner” and sees her work with youthat risk as both a teaching and learning experience. Tara is extremely grateful for the opportunity to work with such an amazing group of talented and resilient youth.
