Breastfeeding Support & Clinics
Toronto Public Health offers free breastfeeding support through telephone and face to face contact, breastfeeding clinics and support groups. A Public Health Nurse can respond to your breastfeeding questions and concerns. Breastfeeding clinics offer individual consultations by health care professionals. At the clinic, families can have their baby weighed and their breastfeeding concerns addressed.

Yorktown offers free parenting classes for all parent ages. Yorktown often provides childcare during these parenting classes. One of their parenting classes is called Parenting Wisely parenting Group which is for parents of children 7 years and older. Yorktown also offers parenting classes for under age 7 and offers a program for parents and teenagers- supporting this relationship.

Women’s Habitat of Etobicoke
The Parent Relief program allows Women’s Habitat clients to leave their children for four hours with a qualified child minder at the Outreach Centre while they do errands, go to an appointment, or take a much-needed break. The Respite Care program offers 24-hour care for the children (up to 12 years of age) of women experiencing, or who have experienced, domestic violence.
