We’re excited to invite you to our upcoming Peer-to-Peer Knowledge Exchange on Thursday, September 26, at 1 PM. This virtual session will feature a compelling presentation on child welfare by Pippa Rowcliffe, Deputy Representative for Children and Youth of British Columbia.
Pippa will discuss findings from the BC Representative for Children and Youth Report, “Don’t Look Away – How one boy’s story has the power to shift a system of care for children and youth.” The report recommends a transformative framework that rethinks the support systems for children and youth in and out of care, offering invaluable insights and points of reflection when thinking of how we can create a new system of care for our youth across Canada.
These Peer to Peer Knowledge Exchanges are fantastic opportunities for likeminded professionals within the sector of child welfare to come together and disseminate various issues and topics within the industry. This report and having Pippa Rowcliffe join us allows us to closely examine how other provinces are responding to the gaps and tragedies that youth in and out of care are facing across the nation.
This is a rare opportunity to learn about the future of child welfare and to engage in a meaningful discussion with industry experts. We encourage you to attend and participate in this vital conversation.
