Youth Education and Employment Mentorship Program

Home / What we do / Youth Education and Employment Mentorship Program

StepStones’ Youth Education and Employment Mentorship program provides early intervention to reduce school dropout. Youth are supported in achieving their educational goals assisted by a one-to-one volunteer mentor and a youth worker. We provide financial support, tutoring, academic advocacy and counselling, encouragement, and celebrate youth achievements.

Scholarships & Housing Grants for Students

Education is critical to building a new life. StepStones’ scholarships & housing grants for students offer financial assistance for post-secondary, trade schools and job training.

Tutoring

StepStones offers tutoring for youth who are enrolled in the Youth in Transition and/or mentoring program and who are currently in post secondary education. Students meet with tutors on a weekly basis to review homework, plan upcoming assignments and support their education. Tutors also provide support to the student in connecting them to school services, advocating on their behalf and helping the youth navigate the complex educational system.
